Report: Rockstar to Launch GTA 6 Simultaneously on PC and Home Consoles

As of January 2025, Rockstar Games has officially announced that “Grand Theft Auto VI” (GTA 6) is scheduled for release in 2025, specifically for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

Historically, Rockstar has staggered the release of their titles, launching console versions first and following up with PC versions months or even years later. For instance, “Grand Theft Auto V” was initially released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, with a PC version arriving in April 2015.

In line with this pattern, there has been no official confirmation regarding a PC release for GTA 6 alongside the console versions. Former Rockstar developers have suggested that a PC version may follow after the console launch, citing the complexity of simultaneous multi-platform releases.

While some industry analysts and reports speculate that Rockstar could potentially release GTA 6 on PC simultaneously with consoles, the company’s established release strategy and current official announcements do not support this.

Therefore, based on available information and past trends, it is anticipated that the PC version of GTA 6 will be released sometime after the initial console launch. However, until Rockstar provides an official statement regarding the PC release, the exact timeline remains speculative.
