Following the successful release of the Silent Hill 2 remake in October 2024, there are emerging rumors that Bloober Team is developing remakes of the original Silent Hill and Silent Hill 3. An industry insider suggests that the Silent Hill 3 remake, allegedly codenamed “Project H,” will emphasize survival horror elements, aligning with the style of the Silent Hill 2 remake.
Additionally, fan theories propose that another Bloober Team project, codenamed “Project G,” could be a remake of the original Silent Hill. This speculation is based on the alphabetical progression of project codenames, hinting at a sequential approach to remaking the series.
While these developments are unconfirmed, Bloober Team has previously expressed interest in creating more third-person horror games with minimal jump scares, focusing on atmosphere and suspense. Lead producer Maciej Głomb stated that the studio aims to explore this direction further, enhancing player experience through a third-person perspective.
It’s worth noting that Bloober Team is also working on other projects, including “Project C” in partnership with Private Division and “Project R” with Skybound Entertainment, both announced in April 2024.
As of now, neither Bloober Team nor Konami has officially confirmed the development of Silent Hill and Silent Hill 3 remakes. Fans of the franchise are advised to await official announcements for accurate information regarding future releases.
